History in Color: A Black History Month Course for Kids - Lesson Three

In Lesson Three of this four-part series, Kalifornia introduces kids to the inspiring stories of Black athletes who broke barriers in sports and beyond. Kids will learn about Jackie Robinson, the first Black player in Major League Baseball, who stayed strong in the face of adversity and changed the game forever. They’ll also meet Wilma Rudolph, the fastest woman in the world, who overcame illness to win three Olympic gold medals. Through interactive activities and storytelling, kids will discover how these champions’ hard work and courage opened doors for future athletes and inspired the world.
